    About Rick Pate

    Rick Pate was elected Alabama’s Commissioner of Agriculture and Industries in November of 2018. Under his leadership, the Department of Ag and Industries has administrated several new programs and navigated the challenges that came with COVID-19. From the state’s new hemp program to making sure our food supply was safe, sustainable, and abundant during the pandemic, Commissioner Pate’s leadership contributed to the success of all department challenges.
